My Rhetorical Action Plan

In this blog post I will be Developing a Rhetorical Action plan based off of the questions found on pgs. 412-413 in Writing Public Lives.

Since it was pretty long, I decided to create it in a google doc. You can access it by clicking here.

EDIT:

I read both Hallye's and Alex's rhetorical action plans. Hallye was very detailed in hers and her rhetorical action plan ended up being pretty lengthy. Mine is also pretty long because I included all of the original questions. Alex was more concise and chose to answer all the questions in one long, lengthy paragraph which I think works as well. I think the genres that Hallye chose are suitable for her topic. Alex only included one kind of genre and that was the persuasive essay but I think that works too.

  1. Your rhetorical strategy plan was laid out very well and easily understandable. Like you, I chose to consider a QRG and a more academic paper as viable ways to write about my topic. I generally agreed with how these different forms of genre reach their audience. The way your positive and negative rebuttals was laid out very nicely, and the clear divide between the two made that section very readable. I think most of your negative refutations are fairly well laid out, but maybe could use a little more depth on how you plan to argue against them. Other than that this is quite well done and informative!

  3. Hey Chloe, just a heads up. I looked ahead to the project 3 breakdown and QRG are NOT an allowed genre for this project. I would recommend changing this when you get a chance and I will also have to do the same. Good luck

  4. I think both your options for a genre are good it is sad you cannot use a QRG. I also liked how detailed you were in answering all the questions. As you said I did a paragraph which made it shorter but still concise. I still think your way was more effective. You organized it very well and laid out your points with great detail. I think this will help you in the later stages of actually making project 3 because you will know exactly what you want to do and how to do it.
